  • Kevin Cawood, DVM

    Dr. Cawood is originally from Connecticut.  He graduated from UCONN in 1989 with a degree in Pathobiology.  He then went to Purdue to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and has been working in Fort Wayne ever since.  He has a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as regenerative medicine.  Dr Cawood is a member of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, the AVMA, and other state professional organizations.  He has served as a veterinarian at the Iditarod in Alaska and currently acts as a consultant and lecturer to other veterinary practices and professionals.

    Dr. Cawood has a full house with his wife, 2 children, 3 golden retrievers, and 2 cats.

  • Christine O'Leary, DVM MS

    Dr. O'Leary is originally from New York.  She received her Bachelors in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA.  She then went to the University of Delaware, where she earned her Masters in Cell and Organ Systems Physiology.  Finally she went to St. George's University and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in '09.  Dr. O'Leary practiced in New York for a year before coming to Indiana.  She enjoys spending time with her family, husband and their Sheltie, Quinn

  • Kimberly Smith, DVM MS

    Dr. Smith is originally from California.  She graduated from Cal State University - Fresno in 1995 with a BS degree in Animal Science.  She then went to Kansas State University to receive her Masters of Science in Animal Nutrition.  She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with emphasis in equine and companion animal from Iowa State University in 2007 and has been working in the Fort Wayne area since.  She is on the Allen County 4H Board of Directors and she and her family are very involved in 4H.  Dr. Smith, her husband, and 3 children also farm about 350 acres in the Leo-Grabill area.  Their home farm is also full of horses, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. E-I-E-I-O!!

  • Ksenia Kowal, Office & Finance

    Ksenia began working at ICVH the first day it opened, April 1, 2002.  She went to IPFW.  Prior to ICVH, Ksenia worked in the veterinary field for over 40 years.  She has 2 Miniature Schnauzers, Lucy Lu and Lottie Da.  She's been married to her husband 38+ years.  Ksenia has 2 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren.  This is definitely her calling!

  • Patricia Howey, R.V.T.

    Patty started at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2002.  She is a single mother of 2 adult children and 1 grandson.  She also has 3 cats, Marcy, Lita, and Nisha.  Patty lives in New Haven and loves the outdoors and northern Michigan.  She graduated from Purdue University in 1977 and has been a RVT for 39 years.

    Suzie came to ICVH back in October '06.  Originally from the New England area, she graduated from Becker College in '91.  She has two Cavaliers Sir Charles and Sir Lancelot and four cats, Candice, Mariah, Olie, and Phinneas.  Suzie is married and has two boys who keep her very busy.

  • Jamie Taylor, R.V.T.

    Jamie joined our team at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in October 2010.  Jamie graduated from Purdue University with an Associate of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1999.  She has worked in the Veterinary Field for over 22 years; 8 of those years spent as a Head R.V.T. in Emergency Hospitals in Indianapolis and Carmel.  While not at work, she is kept very busy with her family and farm.  Jamie and her husband have a cute little boy and a beautiful little girl.  They also have horses, cattle, dogs, and cats!

    Jared returned to the Fort Wayne Area and joined Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital from the “Frozen Tundra” of Green Bay, Wisconsin in July 2016. He graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from International Business College in 2012 and brings over 5 years of experience working in a variety of emergency, specialty, private practice and academic settings as a Veterinary Technician. He really enjoys educating clients and strengthening the human-animal bond. When he is not caring for your family, he enjoys time with his wife, two beautiful daughters and his 2 Beagles, Porsche and Paisley.

When she is not at work, she is with her husband and her two happy Labrador Retrievers, Saddie and Daisy, along with her three cats, Tigger, Bella, and Bailey.  Some of her hobbies are fishing, hunting, shopping, watching movies and of course being with family and friends.
