  • Kevin Cawood, DVM

    Dr. Cawood is originally from Connecticut.  He graduated from UCONN in 1989 with a degree in Pathobiology.  He then went to Purdue to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and has been working in Fort Wayne ever since.  He has a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as regenerative medicine.  Dr Cawood is a member of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, the AVMA, and other state professional organizations.  He has served as a veterinarian at the Iditarod in Alaska and currently acts as a consultant and lecturer to other veterinary practices and professionals.

    Dr. Cawood has a full house with his wife, 2 children, 3 golden retrievers, and 2 cats.

  • Christine O'Leary, DVM MS

    Dr. O'Leary is originally from New York.  She received her Bachelors in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA.  She then went to the University of Delaware, where she earned her Masters in Cell and Organ Systems Physiology.  Finally she went to St. George's University and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in '09.  Dr. O'Leary practiced in New York for a year before coming to Indiana.  She enjoys spending time with her family, husband, son, and their Sheltie, Quinn

  • Kimberly Smith, DVM MS

    Dr. Smith is originally from California.  She graduated from Cal State University - Fresno in 1995 with a BS degree in Animal Science.  She then went to Kansas State University to receive her Masters of Science in Animal Nutrition.  She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with emphasis in equine and companion animal from Iowa State University in 2007 and has been working in the Fort Wayne area since.  She has been on the Allen County 4H Board of Directors and she and her family are very involved in 4H.  Dr. Smith, her husband, and 3 children also farm about 400 acres in the Leo-Grabill area.  Their home farm is also full of horses, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. E-I-E-I-O!!

  • Ksenia Kowal, Office & Finance

    Ksenia began working at ICVH the first day it opened, April 1, 2002.  She went to IPFW.  Prior to ICVH, Ksenia worked in the veterinary field for over 40 years.  She has 1 Miniature Schnauzer, Lottie Da.  She's been married to her husband 40 years.  Ksenia has 2 adult daughters and 3 grandchildren.  This is definitely her calling!

  • Patricia Howey, R.V.T.

    Patty started at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2002.  She is a single mother of 2 adult children and 2 grandchildren.  She also has 3 cats, Marcy, Lita, and Nisha.  Patty lives in New Haven and loves the outdoors and northern Michigan.  She graduated from Purdue University in 1977 and has been a RVT for 41 years

    Suzie came to ICVH back in October '06.  Originally from the New England area, she graduated from Becker College in '91.  She has two Cavaliers Sir Charles and Sir Lancelot and four cats, Candice, Olie, and Phinneas.  Suzie is married and has two boys who keep her very busy.

  • Jamie Taylor, R.V.T.

    Jamie joined our team at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in October 2010.  Jamie graduated from Purdue University with an Associate of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 1999.  She has worked in the Veterinary Field since 1996; 8 of those years spent as a Head R.V.T. in Emergency Animal Hospitals in Indianapolis and Carmel.  While not at work, she is kept very busy with her family and farm.  Jamie and her husband have a cute little boy and a beautiful little girl.  They also have horses, cattle, dogs, and cats!

  • Danielle Kuschel

    Danielle joined Indian Creek in the beginning of January 2018.  She worked in a small animal practice since she as 16 years old. She starting as a kennel assistant, moved to an assistant and receptionist, and started the Veterinary Technology Program in October 2015 at Rockford Career College.  She graduated in March 2018 and passed the VTNE in July 2018.  She moved to from Wisconsin to Indiana in December of 2017 with her Corgi, Britain and her cat, Benjamin. She also moved her 2 horses, Kowboy and Harry.  She loves working with animals and spending her free time with all her for-legged "kids".

  • Hannah Schaaf, RVT

    Hannah joined Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in June 2018.  She has been in the animal field since she was 16, starting as kennel staff back in her home state of Illinois.  She attended the Vet Tech Institute at Fox College and  became an RVT in 2014.  Hannah moved to Fort Wayne with her boyfriend and their pitbull, Meridia, shortly before she joined the team at Indian Creek.  Hannah enjoys comforting and caring for all the animals that come her way.  When she is not working, she enjoys baking and spending time with her mini family.

    Sara joined Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in August 2018.  She graduated from IBC in December of 2017 and started out in emergency medicine.  Sara and her fiance have an 11 year old Beagle Terrier mix, Sammy, that they rescued.  She loves her job and is very passionate about animal care and client education.

    Samantha joined Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in October 2018.  She graduated from tech school in May of 2015 and shortly after became an RVT in Indiana.  She worked in emergency medicine for 2 years and loved it.  She has 2 dogs, named Ruca and Kona.  She really enjoys spending time with animals and helping them.

    Miranda joined our team at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in January 2017. She has worked in the Veterinary field for 4 years. When she is not at work, she is with her husband and her two happy Labrador Retrievers, Saddie and Daisy, along with her three cats, Tigger, Sunset, and Bailey.  Some of her hobbies are fishing, hunting, shopping, watching movies and of course being with family and friends. Miranda's family grew in June of 2018 with a new handsome son.

    Nastia joined Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in August 2018.  Nastia was born in the Ukraine, adopted at 9 years old, and came to live in the U.S. with her parents.  She has her second Golden Retriever, Lola.  She loves animals and wants to bring home almost every one she sees at the clinic.  She is hoping to go to school for business.
